Optimize Checkout Settings
Required changes to your checkout to ensure we can text your customers.

1. Go to Checkout Settings in the Shopify Admin Panel.

2. In the Customer Contact section, select the “Customers can only check out using email” option.
Note: this will separate email and phone fields at checkout, enabling us to text more people.

3. Now, scroll down until you see Form options, and change “Shipping address phone number” to Optional.

4. Click the purple save button

5. Next, scroll down and click Manage Checkout Language.

6. In the top filter bar, type “phone label”, and you should see phone label and Optional phone label appear under Checkout & system / Checkout contact:

7. Under Phone Label and Optional Phone Label, enter this text:
Phone - Receive support and offers via text message
Once you have entered this text, scroll to the top of the page and click the purple Save button.

8. Go to your checkout page to verify the change were successful. Your phone field opt in should look like this:
